Great product!Jan 19, 2007
By flg8trgirl This item arrived quickly, and as described. The mixing glass is quite substantial, very sturdy, with easy to read measuring amounts up one side. It takes some practice transitioning from a cocktail shaker, but is easy to use, and much better...no sticking together of parts! Per Alton Brown's suggestion, I purchased a julep strainer, which works well with this Boston shaker. Overall, a great purchase.

Solid piece of equipmentAug 29, 2006
By Simpcox The mixing glass is sturdy; the metal cup is stainless steel with an elegant brushed finish. Together the components make a tight seal. This is a big improvement over the small cobbler shaker that I have been using.

Worth the moneyApr 18, 2007
By Johannes Gutenberg I've owned this shaker for several months it is now the only shaker that I use despite owning some other nice tradional shakers. I've used cheap boston shakers from a restaurant supply place in the past and have had problems with sealing and unsealing and also with rusting. None of those problems with this shaker. It seals easily and securely and I've never struggled to unseal it. Very sturdy too. I plan to buy a second one.

Perfect But Do Not Put Glass in DishwasherOct 30, 2008

I have been terribly pleased with this Boston Shaker. I have three (Persian, Boston, two-piece with built in strainer) shakers and this is my go-to shaker when shaking cocktails. Once you get comfortable setting and unsetting the two pieces together it is a pleasure to use. One warning: the handy (never tested for accuracy) gradations on the glass were washed off when I put it in the dishwasher. I rarely dishwash my barware, but did so with this. The Cascade Complete enzymes or something erased all trace of the markings on the glass. I probably wouldn't have used them too much anyway, but if you plan to use them, handwash only.
Cheers!

GLASS NOT DISHWASHER SAFEApr 30, 2009
By Jeff What can I say, I love this shaker. I have owned it for about one year have always handwashed both pieces. Recently I ran it through the dishwasher and the glass developed a crack through the bottom and partially up the sides in a twist fashion. I brought the shaker to Williams Sonoma where it was purchased and they gladly replaced it without hassle. All of my bar tools including the 3 piece shaker are Rosle. All have worked perfectly and are a great addition to my home bar. Expensive but highly recommended.
