perfect for my needsFeb 11, 2009
By mary i must say, i read all the reviews i could find over and over before i bought this!! i was having a big "hollywood oscar dress-up style" 18th birthday party for my daughter and 40 other of the greatest teenagers in the country and i had this picture in my mind of elegance--except it was "elegance-on-a-budget"!! i was having trouble finding a punch recipe that was non-alcoholic but not baby shower taste either...so, i kept wondering if it would really be worth it and would it just look like cheap plastic?? i finally decided to "just do it" and ordered at the best rate i could find with amazon. it was here pretty quickly and i ripped into it. i was very excited--all parts seemed to fit properly together and i tested it with water and it worked and looked great! it's not a $500 or $1000 silver or crystal punch bowl but it had a good weight to it and looked just fine next to real crystal platters! and with the following recipe from a friend it was a huge hit with ALL the kids--they just kept coming back and never even touched the sodas i kept offering--until the punch ran out! thanks for a fun party addition!! 4cups cranberry cocktail juice + 4cups pineapple juice + 1cup white sugar + 1 tsp almond extract (mix all that together ahead of time) + 1 liter(4cups) ginger ale soda. multiply the recipe however many times you want but add the ginger ale slow slow slow slow slow!!!! i goofed and went too fast the 1st batch and the fountain wouldn't work till the fizz all settled down-but it recovered in spite of me:)!

Great idea but justa little cheaply madeMay 21, 2008

I would change the stars to 4 but it wont let me.
The idea is great but it's made really cheaply ... the lights in the base are solid color only and change the color or whatever liquid you put in the fountain. The material splinters easily as it's a very light duty plastic.
After using this product several times now everyone loves it. If you make sure the fountain is sitting straight up then the liquid wont shoot over the edge, however dont try to use it without the spouts attached as that will cause spattering all over the counter around the bowl. I wouldn't pay the 49.99 listed here, but it is worth the 24.99 i paid for it.
Great concept and i haven't seen anything else like it out there yet. Good for the money it's being offered for but someone should improve on the design and the quality if they intend to sell it for the 49.99 listed here.
I recommend flusing out with water after use to clean out the piping

Added a touch of class to the party!Mar 13, 2008

The fountain worked perfectly and was beautiful. SO many people asked to borrow it at their next party. They even give you a few extra spouts incase you loose them which is great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that at the end of the night, there were little splashs of punch on the table and napkins that were beside it. I may have positioned the spouts wrong, but that was my only complaint. I would still purchase it again and again!

Not SturdyFeb 22, 2010

I purchased this item for my friends Birthday Party and a piece easily broke while putting it together. I still was able to use it and the display was beautiful however it leans. I wouldnt recommend this especially around children. One small bump and it would have fell over.

great fountain, stays cool even after runningJun 24, 2011

I love this fountain. You can run it for hours and as long as you are adding more cold beverage as your guests drink it, it doesn't get HOT like some fancy champagne fountains do. Also, 2 days before an event, I make an ice mold in my bundt cake pan... freeze a few inches of water in your bundt (give it 2 days to freeze) thaw it for 10 minutes and it will easily pop out. It fits in the bottom bowl around the center support perfectly!!
