2Get your paper cutter readyOct 26, 2010
By Matt De Remer
I bought these locally at Staples, but they smartly don't admit to selling them on their website.

They look great and print reasonably well (get the template from the Gartner website and set your printer for matte card stock).

The problems started when we tried to fold and separate them. The embossed area is weaker than the perf'ed area, so the card creases easily in noticeable places. After crumpling up a few sheets in disgust I got out my paper cutter and everything turned out fine.

Also the packaging is weak... no cardboard backer, so all the sheets had a bow to them. The resealable tab on the bag is super aggressive and you can accidentally damage the sheets with it.

4For Competent Computer Users ONLYAug 17, 2011
By New Jersey Shopper
I purchased these place cards (in white, not ivory) for my daughter's wedding reception, to avoid fussing with handwritten cards or hiring a calligrapher. The enclosed directions seemed to be written for a non-computer savvy person--I pity any such person who purchased these place cards! It wasn't simple to find the correct template on the Gartner website. Once I found it, I quickly realized that I had to change the margins, as the template did not quite match the actual sheets of cards. Also, the font included with the template (Edwardian Script ITC) was difficult to work with--looked great on the computer, but printed too large to fit the cards. I ended up using Cochin (italicized) from my Mac, which worked well and looked classy. Fortunately, before beginning this project, I took the time to google other people's comments on this product, which headed off some issues. The package contains a sample sheet, so you can print a test of each page and hold it up to the sample, to make sure your text fits in the little boxes. Be sure you feed the card stock manually into the printer, and change your printer settings to "Thick Paper" (or equivalent). We used a paper cutter to cut the cards apart--did not even try to pull them apart, based on other user comments. The completed place cards look great! I suggest leaving plenty of time for this project, and make sure you have at least a few extra sheets on hand, in case you make a mistake. If you are not VERY comfortable with computers, I suggest you might not want to take on this project. I hope this information helps.

4Excellent productApr 22, 2011
By Jillian L. Anderson "Life is either a daring adventure - or nothing!"
Used this product for my place cards at our wedding next weekend....once you work out how your printer works in relation to the cards - do a couple of practice runs on plain paper first - then it is great...I had to get extra as I ruined a couple of pages because I didn't check it each time I printed one page...so make sure you do that....don't do it in one big print job as it appears to move down the page and subsequent pages will be off center. But overall - good way to seat your guests.

4Not what I was Expecting, but Still Awesome!Dec 17, 2009
By M. Horvath
Instead of 2 packages of 100, I received 4 packages of 48, which is fine, but that kinda shorted me 8 place cards. They're still very pretty, and I'm sure it will work out to where I will have plenty left over.

4Nice PlacecardsOct 31, 2010
By Nicole Marie Nelson
They were very nice and I received them quickly. I didn't have trouble breaking them apart or printing them. Wish they came with some extras for testing/to make up to 50. They only include 48 so we left some people off since we had a wedding of 100 people. That is my only complaint.
