This is my first shaving set. I have read that there are better brush types, but I have no complaints about the one this package comes with. The wood is pretty and the bristles are soft. It works very well. The soap dish is just that. It holds my soap just fine. Both peices are real wood and are very smooth. It adds a certain class to my morning shaving ritual.

The shaving bowl and soap are fine, but the brush isn't true boar bristle and is not good quality.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. I loved the smooth wood finish and the feeling of quality on the box and brush. The set feels more expensive than it actually was, and the packaging was quite nice.
I can't speak for the shaving experience (hubby said it was nice), but the soap smells very manly and good. I'll be ordering replacement soaps from this company for sure! It seems that the soap gives my husband a closer shave and smoother clearer skin than he gets with shaving cream.

the bowl and the soap are good quality.
but like somone else said, the brush is not.
i tossed the brush after 1 shave.
bristles all over my face.
i found a good boar brush and moved on, but i can't
recommend that someone pay, and not get all they're paying for.
pass.
