Beautiful, yet EconomicalApr 05, 2011
By RenaissanceLawyer We purchased this crystal set of salt and pepper shakers to accompany our more expensive Noritake china dining set. For the price, these shakers are amazing! They look and feel elegant, and they are wonderfully functional, not pouring salt or pepper too fast or too slow, and are actually quite large. I'm proud to show these off in our hutch when we're not using them, and even more proud of the price!

Perfect for the priceDec 08, 2010
By Heather and Errol Flannery 2008 I needed a salt and pepper shaker that would go with any style for our dining room table and these fit perfectly. The price is great and they are beautiful. I only wish the tops were real metal and not plastic as they may break easily.

Crystal salt and pepper shakerJan 05, 2012
By Bama Boy I bought these items for our dinning room table. Needless to say, when our friends came to dinner, they were the topic of conversasion. Where did you get them? I bet they were very expensive, ETC. All were very surprised, when I told them the price. Looks like I will be buying more for gifts. Thank you Amazon.
These things are hugeApr 16, 2012
By doriang Seriously you need a 10 person dining table for these to look in proportion. Additionally they were advertised to have a metal top. The top is plastic with metal spray paint. I returned them.

LEAD CrystalJan 19, 2012
By Bensmama Lead should not come into contact with our food. Better to go with plain glass. I don't know why this never occurred to me before now. I've always heard how fancy and nice lead crystal is, but then I was searching for some new dishes and found all this stuff on the internet about colored glazed plates containing lead, and it occurred to me that lead crystal glasses and other food service items shouldn't contain lead either.
After much research, I have replaced all of my dishes with clear glass Libbey stuff. Their products are guaranteed (in writing) to be free of lead, cadmium, mercury, and all other heavy metals. I have yet to find a pretty set of salt and pepper shakers to go with all of my new stuff though, which is what brought me to this. Just thought I'd put this info out here for anyone else like me who did not realize we should not be eating off of leaded dishware.
